Top Hat & Tails
- Check Fido's calendar & don't forget to press his tux.
Don't
miss the most stylish, zany and exciting event of the year! The SPCA of
Westchester invites you and your favorite dog to our first ever Top
Hat & Tails benefit event to be held on Saturday, October 25,
2003 at Sleepy Hollow Country Club in Scarborough. This formal and
elegant evening features a unique twist - guests are invited to bring
along their well-behaved four-legged canine date. Tickets start at $200
per person, which includes a sit-down dinner, open bar, live auction and
dancing. On the lighter side, enjoy a canine fashion show, doggie snack
bar, costume contest and a few surprises that will undoubtedly prove to
be a "howling" good time. Dogs get in free, of course.
Westchester's only four-on-the-floor formal event is expected to draw
many prominent animal devotees and their beloved canines. Our Honorary
Celebrity Committee features to date: Bea Arthur, Catherine Crier,
Michael Feinstein, Tippi Hedren, Stephen Lang, Michelle Phillips,
Stefanie Powers & Betty White.
This year we are honoring John W. Beach, a long-time SPCA Board
Member for his 30-year commitment to companion animals and Alan Green,
D.V.M. for providing extraordinary care for many sick and injured SPCA
animals.
Of course, all of the fun and festivities have a very serious purpose
- to assist the SPCA in providing life-saving care for Westchester's
abandoned and abused dogs, cats and horses.
